Il Boeing 777 Worldliner è un jet passeggeri a lungo raggio, ad ala bassa, bimotore, di produzione americana. La propulsione è fornita da due motori Pratt and Whitney PW4000 o Rolls-Royce Trent 800 o General Electric GE90. Il volo del prototipo è avvenuto nel 1994, mentre la produzione in serie è iniziata nel 1995 ed è tuttora in corso. Ad agosto 2017 erano stati prodotti 1.512 esemplari di questo aereo. Il prezzo unitario del Boeing 777 varia da 261 a 300 milioni di dollari, a seconda della versione. Il Boeing 777 è attualmente il più grande aereo passeggeri bimotore del mondo, con grande enfasi sul basso consumo di carburante, sulla facilità d’uso e sull’impiego di un’avionica molto moderna. È anche il primo aereo passeggeri Boeing a utilizzare un sistema fly-by-wire. La macchina è costruita in due versioni base: 777-200 e 777-300, che si differenziano per la lunghezza dello scafo di circa 10 metri. È stata creata anche una versione da trasporto civile (Boeing 777F), che ha fatto il suo debutto commerciale nel 2008. A seconda della versione, il Boeing 777 può ospitare fino a 451 passeggeri.
