Il T-35 è stato un carro armato pesante sovietico multiturbo del periodo tra le due guerre e dell’inizio della Seconda guerra mondiale, che ha visto una produzione limitata e un servizio con l’Armata Rossa. Fu l’unico carro armato pesante a cinque torri al mondo a entrare in produzione, ma si dimostrò lento e meccanicamente inaffidabile. La maggior parte dei carri armati T-35 ancora operativi al momento dell’Operazione Barbarossa andarono perduti a causa di guasti meccanici piuttosto che per il fuoco nemico. Esternamente era grande, ma internamente gli spazi erano angusti con i compartimenti di combattimento separati l’uno dall’altro, con alcune torrette che oscuravano persino le botole dell’equipaggio.
