Viene fornito con 4 figure, decalcomanie e istruzioni dettagliate. Stampato in Olive drab. Il 25 giugno 1950 le forze comuniste nordcoreane invasero la Corea del Sud. Le prime truppe statunitensi in aiuto della Corea del Sud sbarcarono nel luglio 1950. Erano state inviate in fretta e furia dal Giappone e avevano portato con sé i carri armati da combattimento M-24. A quanto pare erano stati selezionati per essere impiegati in questo tipo di operazioni. A quanto pare erano stati scelti per il servizio in Giappone a causa della loro leggerezza. Qualsiasi cosa più pesante sarebbe stata troppo pesante per le strade e i ponti fragili giapponesi. La loro inferiorità rispetto all’equipaggiamento fornito dai russi fu subito evidente. In qualsiasi marcia il conducente sterza spingendo il “Wobble-stick” a destra o a sinistra. Lo sterzo è assistito idraulicamente. Si dice che sia più facile da guidare di un’autovettura! Questo carro armato è dotato di un sistema di sospensioni a barra di torsione, le cui barre si attorcigliano per assorbire gli urti quando le ruote del “Bogie” rotolano su terreni accidentati. Grazie alla sua maneggevolezza, questo carro armato può girare nella sua stessa lunghezza.I primi modelli furono testati nell’autunno del 1949, con l’inizio della produzione nella primavera del 1950. Due battaglioni furono addestrati a Fort Hood negli Stati Uniti e videro la loro prima azione in Corea con la 3a e la 7a divisione di fanteria. In seguito questi carri armati furono forniti alla 40ª Divisione. Il carro armato Patton è considerato il miglior carro armato medio del suo tempo, in quanto dotato di velocità e mobilità e in grado di compiere virate più veloci e fluide rispetto al T-34 russo. Rappresenta un progresso nel tipo di progettazione iniziata dai tedeschi. L’esercito sostiene che “il Patton è più che all’altezza del T-34 rosso e che può penetrare lo Stalin III su gran parte della sua superficie”.
