Livello di abilità 2. 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am La Firebird Trans Am del 1971 era un’auto dalle prestazioni davvero entusiasmanti. Era dotata di 455 pollici cubi di “Poncho-Power” e di una trasmissione a quattro velocità ad ampio rapporto. L’inquietante cofano a scudo si limitava a vibrare al minimo, ma se saliva su una Trans Am 455, quel cofano a scudo spingeva l’aria in quell’assetato carburatore a quattro cilindri. Questa era una macchina con cui fare i conti, e la sua sorprendente verniciatura bianca e blu era ornata da uno sbarramento d’aria anteriore, uno spoiler posteriore, parafanghi e prese d’aria che dicevano a tutti quanto la Trans Am fosse un “razzo”. La gente di Pontiac capiva le prestazioni e non ci volle molto perché la sgargiante Trans Am superasse la GTO come muscle car più potente di Pontiac.
